Details on a New ‘Haunting Hour!’

Painting – a harmless hobby, right? Some artists are so good at what they do, their paintings come to life. On this week’s ‘The Haunting Hour,’ one young man is about to learn a whole new meaning to that phrase.

In this week’s episode of ‘R.L. Stine’s The Haunting Hour,’ TV’s Dylan Minnette (Awake, Let Me In) guest stars as Corey, a fan who is a little too obsessed with his hero – a graphic novel artist by the name of Alan Miller. When Corey takes the opportunity to grab his idol’s very own paintbrushes, some eerie coincidences start to show between the paintings and real life…

We caught up with Dylan Minnette, and see what he had to say about this episode of ‘The Haunting Hour.’ “I have always been a huge fan of R.L. Stine’s work with the Goosebumps book series and TV series, and I had always known about The Haunting Hour. When I found out that I was going to be working on the show, I was so excited. I felt like I was working on a mini horror film. It was so much fun and such a great experience, and I can’t wait for everyone to see it. Check it out!” It sounds like he’s given it his all in this episode!

Make sure you tune in to Brush With Madness on this week’s episode of ‘R.L. Stine’s The Haunting Hour” this Saturday, November 5, at 8:00 p.m. ET on The Hub. You can check out a clip below, we know WE’RE excited.

The Making of “Let Me In”

Let Me In hits theaters on October 1st, 2010.

Cast: Kodi Smit-McPhee, Chloe Moretz, Richard Jenkins, Seth Adkins, Elias Koteas, Cara Buono, Sasha Barrese, Chris Browning, Dylan Minnette, Jimmy ‘Jax’ Pinchak

Chloe Moretz (Hit Girl from Kick-Ass) stars as Abby, a secretive 12-year old girl, who moves next door to Owen (Kodi Smit-McPhee, The Road). Owen is a social outcast who is viciously bullied at school and in his loneliness, forms a profound bond with his new neighbour. Owen can’t help noticing that Abby is like no one he has ever met before. As a string of grisly murders occupy the town, Owen has to confront the reality that this seemingly innocent girl is really a savage vampire.

“Let Me In”, a haunting and provocative thriller written and directed by filmmaker Matt Reeves (Cloverfield) and produced by legendary British horror brand Hammer Films, is an astonishing coming-of-age story between a young girl and an alienated young boy unlike any other you have seen. Based on the best-selling Swedish novel Lat den Ratte Komma (Let The Right One In) by John Ajvide Lindqvist, and the highly-acclaimed film of the same name, “Let Me In” takes audiences straight to the troubled heart of adolescent longing and loneliness.
